Welcome to Shifting Habits. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Shifting Habits web application ("Service") operated by Shifting Habits ("we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
By creating an account or using Shifting Habits, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

You retain ownership of all content you submit to Shifting Habits, including your goals, daily entries, reflections, and other personal data ("User Content").
By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your User Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
You are responsible for maintaining backups of your User Content. While we implement reasonable measures to protect your data, we cannot guarantee against data loss.
The Service and its original content (excluding User Content), features, and functionality are owned by Shifting Habits and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
The Shifting Habits methodology is based on "Shifting Habits" by Greg Anderson. The book content and methodology remain the intellectual property of the author.
Shifting Habits offers different service tiers:
Book verification requires a valid Amazon Order ID. We reserve the right to revoke verified status if verification is found to be fraudulent.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
Shifting Habits is a personal development tool and is not intended to replace professional medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice. We make no claims about the effectiveness of the methodology for any specific individual.
We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SHIFTING HABITS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.
Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, during the twelve (12) months prior to the claim.
You may terminate your account at any time by deleting your account through the Settings page. Upon termination, your User Content will be permanently deleted.
We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including without limitation if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days notice prior to any new terms taking effect. By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
